Description
2001 represented the first vintage of Hecht & Bannier, the culmination of years of industry experience between Gregory Hecht and François Bannier. They have been certified organic by EcoCert since 2007, with their Coteaux d’Aix en Provence Rosé seen as a rare specimen of Provence Rosé amongst a sea of nondescript examples.
The care given in the vines and cellars results in a combination of both fruit and savoury flavours. It does not see any oak for its aging process, spending time only in stainless steel and concrete before bottling. The aim of the wine is to capture the intricacies often overlooked by more commercial examples of Provence Rosé whilst still being light and approachable.
With European summertime adventures to Provence and the Mediterranean currently on ice for 2021, this may be the closest thing to an escape over a cheeky glass at lunchtime or dinner.
