Description
The wines of Emmanuel Brochet are amongst some of the most highly sought after—in all of Champagne. Emmanuel is the first in the family to actually produce Champagne, coming from a long line of farmers that previously sold grapes to the big houses. Beginning with a tiny 2.5 hectare plot, Le Mont Benoit, back in 1997, he bottled his first wine in 2002.
Later, starting conversion in 2008, his focus is now on organics in the vineyard. “The way I came to organic farming was not through any sort of militant philosophy, but through the pleasure of wine. If you take pleasure in what you do, and if your environment gives you pleasure, your work will be better. It’s a question of harmony.”
This commitment towards organic farming shows in his Selected range, in which he works alongside organic growers to produce wines of depth, complexity and uniqueness.
