The G.I. of Bendigo has often been overshadowed by its more illustrious neighbours. Yet, its pure, sandy granite soils and overall mild climate make it ideal and exciting for growing Syrah in Australia. Fermented with 50% whole bunches and matured for nearly 2 years before bottling. It spent the initial period in older 600L and 1,500L Stockinger casks, then the final eight months in 2,000L Stockinger casks. 2,642 bottles and 60 magnums produced.
