Who: Fabien Duveau
Where: Loire Valley, France
What: Chenin Blanc
Fabien Duveau represents the 8th generation of his family estate, having taken the reigns in 2008. Upon joining the domaine, he introduced both organic and biodynamic viticultural practices to the domaine's 40 parcels spread out over 20 hectares. His intense focus upon the vines lead to a truly deep dive & exploration of the intra-parcel individualities, with separate bottlings from within the famed Les Poyeux vineyard.
A truly unique wine, being the only white example from within the famed Les Poyeux vineyard. From the only remaining Chenin Blanc of the parcel, and being a 0.08 hectare planting. Fermentation in barrel, and aged for 12 months in oak before bottling.
