Who: Andre Robert
Where: Champagne, France
What: Meunier, Chardonnay

Coming from the village of Montigny, this is the only non-Chardonnay dominant cuvee of the domaine. As with all wines of the estate, it is aged in barrel before going to bottle. More than just a simplistic fruit-driven Meunier bottling, it is focused around texture whilst retaining freshness.

Champagne Andre Robert’s family history dates back to the 1800’s in amongst the vines of Le Mesnil sur Oger, and is now helmed by 5th generation Claire Robert, and her husband Jean-Baptiste. The family is blessed with a suite of 65 individual parcels, with the vast majority being Grand Cru Côte des Blancs. Oak is favoured for primary fermentation, before going to bottle where it spends at least 3 years on lees.

The wines present powerful & detailed expressions that highlight the nuances of the terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Resting in the cellars are a number of cuvees that prove that this is an estate driven to push the boundaries
