$720.00 $580.00 excl. GST

Who: Andre Robert
Where: Champagne, France
What: Chardonnay

Sourced from a selection of parcels within the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil sur Oger, this is the emblematic cuvee of the estate. Far from simply a crisp & linear style of Blanc de Blancs, it demonstrates the full complexity that is possible from an oak-aged example. It spent 5 years on lees before being disgorged.

Andre Robert Jardins du Mesnil Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs NV × 6

Who: Andre Robert
Where: Champagne, France
What: Chardonnay

A Brut Nature expression of the Les Jardins du Mesnil, with an extra year’s age to it before release. Following the same elevage process, its additional year of age allows it to produce a balanced style without dosage. An interesting compare & contrast between it and its Extra Brut sibling.

Champagne Andre Robert’s family history dates back to the 1800’s in amongst the vines of Le Mesnil sur Oger, and is now helmed by 5th generation Claire Robert, and her husband Jean-Baptiste. The family is blessed with a suite of 65 individual parcels, with the vast majority being Grand Cru Côte des Blancs. Oak is favoured for primary fermentation, before going to bottle where it spends at least 3 years on lees.

The wines present powerful & detailed expressions that highlight the nuances of the terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Resting in the cellars are a number of cuvees that prove that this is an estate driven to push the boundaries.
